There's something happening out here in the West. While the Bushies swept the Rocky Mountain states, the Democrats took back legislatures, won governorships, and generally turned the rest of the ballot blue.

The Governors of Arizona, New Mexico, Montana, and Wyoming are all Democrats. Democrats have been elected to the U.S. Senate in Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, and Nevada.

Last month, we helped launch a new website for the Democrats for the West - a collection of former elected officials and other notables - who are working to bring attention to the West as a place where Democrats can build the next great majority.
