Job Title: Director of Online Communications

Description:
Senior member of Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) staff responsible for developing and implementing new media strategy and overseeing official website for 2008 Convention in Denver.

Director will manage team of paid staff and volunteers in further development of content and functionality of www.demconvention.com during lead-up to and Convention week itself; identify, retain and oversee communications with vendors; and manage partner services relations. Director will oversee outreach and relationships with the online community and work closely with media logistics team to develop blogger credentialing process for 2008 Convention. Ideal candidate has experience running new media strategy for large online or offline events, corporations or organizations. No political experience needed.
