Big news at Mandate Media
By Kari Chisholm:
I've got some (mostly) exciting news here at Mandate Media -- some arrivals and departures, to be precise.
For starters, we're bummed that our man Ben DuPree is leaving our team at the end of the year. Of course, we're also a little bit excited because he's leaving us to dedicate himself full-time to finishing up his first novel while researching a second. The first has something to do with a small cult in Oregon and California. He won't tell us much of anything about the next one, except that it relates somehow to the end of the world. Someday, we'll be telling our friends to read the books before they go see the movies.
Ben's been an invaluable part of our team, crafting content (er, "writing") for our clients that has helped them find their voice, find new audiences, and motivate their supporters to take action and donate, donate, donate. Ben's helped produce several million actions online and raise a rather large pile of money for our clients. We're going to miss Ben. A lot.
Of course, with departures come arrivals.
I'm excited to tell you that Jon Boughtin will be joining our team on December 16. He's worked as a congressional campaign manager, a legislative aide, and a communications director on the Hill. He's been a theater reviewer and a travel writer. And now, he'll be taking the reins from Ben and helping our clients engage their audiences, raise money, and change the world.
And best of all, Jon will be doing it from his office in Washington DC, joining Meaghan Lamarre at our East Coast outpost -- an exciting next step in our effort to expand nationwide. We've already worked in 24 states, just 26 more to go!
So, stay tuned. Big things are ahead in 2014. Have a happy holiday season!
