The latest hip font: Your Handwriting.

I'm not sure I'd recommend this approach for much in the way of direct mail, but sometimes it can be useful to add a handwritten element to a printed piece. When that's called for, stay away from the standard "handwriting" fonts. Everyone recognizes them.
